Nitzan Tzyon Shohaam

My Musical Journey

Nitzan Tzyon Shohaam, an Israeli composer, orchestrator,
and conductor, has been captivated by the world of music since he was born.

 

His musical journey commenced with his first piano lessons at the age of four.

By age twelve, Nitzan transitioned to the rhythmic beats of drums and percussion, forging a path that would lead him to success as a professional jazz drummer by the time he completed high school. At just 16 years old, Nitzan garnered international acclaim as a soloist tenor in HaZamir, the renowned international Jewish teen choir, performing at the prestigious David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center.

Throughout his career, Nitzan has collaborated with leading musicians across a broad ethnic musical spectrum, leveraging his experience to serve as a composer, conductor, and musical director for various productions and events on the global stage. 


Nitzan's performances have graced some of the world's most iconic venues, including the Isaac Stern Auditorium / Ronald O. Perelman Stage in Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall in Lincoln Center, Menorah Arena in Tel Aviv, and more.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in the Cross-Disciplinary Composition Department at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Nitzan continues to hone his craft and push the boundaries of musical innovation.
